Google - OAuth (Recommended)
Connecting Google Drive and Meet to Village Labs via OAuth.
Connecting via OAuth is the recommended approach for connecting Google Drive to Village Labs.
Please note that connecting via OAuth requires you to be a 'Super Admin' of your Google Workspace.
Step 1 of 1: OAuth Connection
We use OAuth to connect to Google.
Login to the Village Network Admin using Google Single Sign-on: https://app.villagelabs.net/
Navigate to the Network Manager (the overlapping arrows button in the top right of screen). https://app.villagelabs.net/networks/{network-name}/management
In the side menu, go to 'Data' > 'Google Integration'
Make sure you have checked 'Google Drive' and 'Google Workspace' and continue with the integration on-screen. You're done!
Note that you have the option to exclude specific documents or folders from the data connection. It is recommended that you leave these blank unless there are specific documents or folder names you want to exclude. The reason is that Village Labs will only ever process documents/folders/slides/files that are shared with the organization, so adding additional exclusions is usually unnecessary.
Permissions: Connecting to Google will give Village Labs read-only access only. Village Labs will not be able to write-to or modify your Google Drive or Google Workspace.
Privacy Settings: Village Labs only connects to Google Drive files (Docs, Sheets, Slides) that are shared with your Organization (ie. set to General access > Anyone in this group with the link can view).
Reports will not summarize content that is not shared with the Organization, or is only shared with a subset of people within your Organization.
